Zuhra Bahman is a development professional with over fifteen years’ work experience in Afghanistan and outside. She has worked on the prevention of child trafficking, child protection and rights, refugee rights, post-conflict development (strengthening democratic institutions and security sector reform) and reproductive rights. She has studied anthropology and law at the LSE, security and development at King’s College London, master in research at the UCL and is presently pursuing a PhD in anthropology at the University of Sussex with a focus on reproductive health and women’s networks in urban Afghanistan. She is an active part of the women’s movement in Afghanistan.
